Energy Efficent Prefabricated Houses
The properties of wood and other materials used in building energy efficent houses provide a very agreeable relative humidity resulting in a healthy microclimate. Compared to a classically built house its benefits are:
- Energy efficent and environmentally friendly (thermal transmittance U- value < 0,20 W/m² ensuring consumption of heating oil or equivalent under 3l/m².
- The materials used are manufactured to the highest quality standards and are fully certified.
- The house is diffusion-open, allowing for good vapour permeability.
- Healthy, non-polluting materials make it a very pleasant residence.
- Earthquake resistant, due to its mass being 4 – 5 times lower to the classically built house (proportionally lowering the earthquake force).
- Fire resistant despite being made of wood, compared to reinforced concrete and steel wood endures more - yields later. The plasterboards add to the fire resistance.
- Long lasting. The construction is made of dry, humidity and pest and humidity protected wood which makes for low maintenance.
- Because the walls are thinner living space is bigger, without the loss of energy.
- Is quickly built and ready to move in.
- Possibility of acquiring subsidy funds from the Eco Fund.
You can join in with making of the plans for your new home. Anything concerning the thickness of the skeletal structure, insulation and other materials can be agreed upon.
Here are a few basic options for walls, ceilings and roofs:
-

EGO STROP (CEILING)
-
Classically built wooden ceiling with visible beams that are covered by a wooden panel with tongue and grove
OR -
Classically built wooden ceiling completely covered with plasterboard between KVH solid structural timber construction, insulation and OSB board on top.
OR - Visible or invisible wood panels - KLH boards
-
Classically built wooden ceiling with visible beams that are covered by a wooden panel with tongue and grove
-
EGO STREHA (ROOF)
- Gypsum plasterboard 1,25 cm
- Wood boards
- Steam barrier foil
- wood underlying construction (6-8 cm) with insulation
- wood roof construction with insulation according to statics calculation
- wood boards or Agepan insulation boards
- secondary roofing
- counten battens;
- roof battens;
- roofing
Depending on the choice of structure of the outer wall the best options for the inner walls structure, ceilings and roof will be made.
